Working electrodes for RRDE-3A
Products listed in below are Working electrodes for Rotating ring disk electrode system, RRDE-3A. They consist mainly of organic solvent-resistant resin, PEEK, and are able to easily be polished with PK-3 Electrode polishing kit.
RRDE Ring-Disk Electrode
RRDE Ring disk electrode was improved to facilitate the handling to obtain a chemically modified electrode.
Using the new RRDE Ring Disk Electrode, a dropped sample is kept on the disk, without spreading the sample to the ring electrode.
At the picture, 20 µL of DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is dropped on the glassy carbon disk. Here, it is possible to see the difference in the shape of the dropped sample on the disk, between new and old types of the electrode.
The same phenomenon was observed for all solvents tested, which were acetone, ethanol, acetonitrile, polyethylene glycol, ethylene glycol, methanol, and sulfuric acid.

RRDE-3A Rotating Ring/Disk Electrode System
This compact computerized rotating electrode system is desinged for laboratory use. Silver-containing carbon brush allows long life and low electrical noise. Both types of Disk electrodes and Ring disk electrodes can be used as the working electrode of this system. Rotating speed error is reduced to 1-2% (at the Rotating rate: 90-8,000 rpm). The main motor shaft unit, glass cell, and each electrode are easily replaceable.
