BAS Electrochemical Webinar 2020 Autumn
BAS held a webinar for researchers who need electrochemical measurement.
The seminar consisted of a lecture focusing on the basic theory and measurement methods of electrochemistry, and a demonstration using actual measurement equipment.
Program:
Lecture: (about 25 minutes)
Theme: Basic of Hydrodynamic Voltammetry and Application
The rotating electrode method is an electrochemical measurement method that is performed while rotating the working electrode, and has recently been used especially for evaluating oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) efficiency.
In this presentation, the basics and analysis method (Levich & Koutecky-Levich plot) of the rotating electrode method, and the ORR efficiency evaluation method by using a platinum catalyst were introduced.
Presentation: (about 15 minutes)
Theme: Reference Electrode Potential Calibration
It was showed how to measure and calibrate the reference electrodes potentials relative to RHE, the Reversible Hydrogen Electrode, by using H2G1,the newly developed Portable Hydrogen Generator.
