Technical advisor, and the second theme will be presented by Dr. Miho Ishida.

Theme of the webinar

This time the webinar will be divided in two parts:
1. Reference electrode - Basics, introduced by Prof. Noriyuki Watanabe
2. First electrochemical measurement - Selection of electrodes, presented by Dr. Miho Ishida

– Join us on 9 February, 2022 (Wednesday), from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (GMT+9).
(The webinar will be conducted in English.)

Topic of the webinar

First theme: Reference electrode -Basics
In this lecture, the reference electrode requirements and functions in the electrochemical measurement, and the features, properties and characterization of a variety of types of the reference electrodes will be introduced. Also, the advantage and recommendations for each type of reference electrode.

Second Theme: First electrochemical measurement - Selection of electrodes
For those who are starting electrochemical measurement, some points to consider when selecting consumables such as electrodes and cells. A quickly explanation about the configuration of electrochemical measurement system, with a introduction of the voltammetry cell and electrodes types, and points to consider for the choose of cell for voltammetry and electrodes.
